FTA Channel Lineup
Ku-FSS
La porción de la banda Ku con la mayoría de los canales FTAes conocida como FSS (Fixed Service Satellite), con frecuencias desde 11.7 a 12.2 GHz. La banda Ku-FSS es sintonizale utilizando un LNBF Ku"estandard" y mínimo de disco" de 30".
Ku-DBS
La parte alta de la banda Ku es DBS, ocupando 12.2 a 12.7 GHz. Es el rango de frecuencia utilizado por proveedores de TV por satélite "directo-a-casa" tales como Dish Network, DirecTV, y BellVu. Vale el observar que las señales DBS son transmitidas usando lo que se conoce como polarización circular, opuesto a polarización linear, lo que es el caso con Ku-FSS y Ku-Uni. Un LNBF Ku universal no recibirá transmisiónes DBS. DBS sólo requiere un plato mínimo de 18"" para recibir.
